WAYS TO MAKE HAPPY MORNINGS IN SCHOOL FOR EVERYONE ~ By Ms. Swati Dua
“A good beginning is half the work done” is truly marked and proven. When the beginnings are good, the rest of the task comes out to be the best, be it cooking, homework, a road trip or just a casual day in life. Mornings are the most important part of a day. It is scientifically proven that the levels of happiness hormones in a human body are higher during the mornings when compared to the rest of the day. With the word ‘Morning’ the first word which clicks in is ‘School’. A genuine “Good Morning” is very significant in a student’s life in order bring out their best potential. So, let’s look out for some ways and habits that will pave way for a great start to a day in life of a student.
Calm and Slow Mornings are the key:
The yelling Alarms, the ticking clocks and all the hush and rush to reach the school on time becomes a debilitating task and creates stress both in children and the parents which automatically drains out their energies in the morning itself. The key is to just have 10 min extra in mornings. This little extra time can give your child a relaxing start. He/ She would get time to pray, interact, have a hearty breakfast and soak in the sunshine. The happy hormones will boost up which further improves their overall performance of the day.
PRAYERS AND MEDITATION
Prayer Songs and Bhajans fill the air with postivity and good vibes. Starting the school with morning assembly unite the students as well as the teachers in prayers which inculcates values of gratitude and believe in everybody’s heart. It makes the atmosphere cheerful and energetic.
YOGA AND EXERCISES
“ Yoga is the light of the soul and life”. There is no indiviual who is not aware about the benefits of yoga both in kids and adults. It creates enthusiasm and helps to increase cocncentration, strength and flexibility. Beginning the day with yoga helps to bond teachers and students. It rejuvinates the mind and body and prepares them for all the tasks of the day.It helps to create balance and stregthens the knowledge of children.
NATURE WALK
A walk around the school ground feeling the wind and observing the environment around like sun, clouds, insects, birds , plants and trees helps to break the monotony of the daily routine of the classroom. Time spent outside in nature is the best time spent. Nature helps to soothe the minds and brings peace to the soul. A 2-min walk will surely assist in building a connection with the environment and brings an understanding in children about the same.
A SMALL PEP TALK SESSION
Before beginning with the classroom study, a little interaction with the students will help to take things off their chest.The students will pour their hearts out and can share about the happenings of their previous day whether happy or sad. Sometimes the new day is affected by the happenings of the previous day and the child gets distracted by it. So, for that one has to overcome with the feelings of the same which can only be done by sharing.The teacher can also guide them and break the rigid ness of the classroom .This eventually strengthens the bonding of a teacher with her class creating a friendly and loving vibe.
FRUIT BREAK
Fruits Fruits .. juicy and refreshing ..so many seasons .. so many fruits. A healthy start to the day assures better health benefits among children. It also encourages children to build healthy food habits. It keeps a child full till the lunch break thus avoiding distractions and feeling of weakness.

Beginning the day with positive affirmations in the form of a song . It is said what you send in the universe eventually the universe will hear and provide you So sending good vibes in the form a morning songs that will create a sense of completeness and confidence in an individual
